Perplexity wilde een merk dat het product versterkt en tegelijk bijna onzichtbaar voelt. Het symbool groeide uit een asterisk (een knipoog naar bronvermelding) met diepte die een open boek of browservensters oproept, en animeert vanuit de cursor als laadstatus; het woordmerk in onderkast staat in FK Display.
